The stitches have all dissolved and come away. Unfortunately this has left a detached part of skin loose. Will I ever be fully healed.
Week 11
Measured my ‘erect ‘ penis today.
Length 3.5″
Girth at end 5″
At base 6″
There is still some swelling. But not much.
Before the op my penis was 4.8″ girth mid shaft and 5″ long.
Not feeling like the whole thing was worth it at the moment. It’s unlikely I will get the result I was told is typical (50% flaccid and 30% erect). And I won’t even have the original length back for several months. I can write off this year I reckon.
Week 10
Still healing, nothing interesting to report. Top view still shows full thickness absence of skin in one part.
My penis is getting shorter as swelling goes down and as the swelling from lipo is still very much there, the two combined makes it look even shorter.
I plan on using stretching devices once healed.
Week 9
The incisions have not closed yet but I can see some changes. Swelling has reduced further.
I don’t feel pain in that area very often now, even with erection. There is less exudate than previously.
Pics are from earlier this week, the swelling is noticeably less since these were taken. I will give an update in a week.
Healing
Most of the work from the last surgery is healing well. The shaft skin is now joined to near the glans as it should be.
There is a patch that’s going a bit slower though – where the skin had split from a small necrotic patch. One of the sutures came out too, probably from swelling.
It’s looking a bit Frankenstein’s monster at the moment but it will get better. Keep following the blog to see the healing process.
After debridement so a bit red…
Going home
Doc says things look ok, so I’m
Flying home today. Have to stay off my feet to avoid swelling.
Week 7 – second surgery
Measurement
Out of curiosity I measured my penis mid shaft, semi erect. 6″. Easily over 7″ at the base, couldn’t wrap my hand all the way round.
It’s reassuring in some way to see an erection, and that the damaged part really only accounts for maybe the end third, although when flaccid it looks like all of it. There’s a lot more graft than what’s visible in my pics.
Of course this means nothing if the op next week doesn’t sort out ongoing issues.
Update
A Harley Street urologist thinks I would probably need the graft removed as it’s likely to become infected now. He said I could try keeping it. £5k to do the surgery in the UK.
My surgeon in the states thinks I can keep the graft based on what he has seen.
Wish me luck for next Wednesday 15th Jan when surgery is booked. That’s my sisters birthday.
NHS referral
Got a referral letter from the hospital, asking me to call to make an appointment.
My GP sent the request as urgent. It took a week to get a letter from them and the earliest appointment they have is 8 weeks from now.
The NHS is a joke. An urgent referral and I’m offered an 8 week wait. People must die all the time on waiting lists in this country.
